ODC’s foundation programme is a full time pathway course that is designed to provide school leavers with a strong foundation in preparation for the academic component of the BDS programme. This programme runs for one year (2 semesters) where students have the opportunity to engage in an internationally collaborative environment to help them develop their language and communication skills, critical thinking skills, research skills, mathematic and IT skills.

In the foundation programme, students will undergo:

• English
  • This course provides the skills needed to develop an appropriate level of competence in reading, writing, listening and speaking English to effectively communicate and comprehend academic content
• Mathematic
  • This course equips the students with the necessary mathematical skills to meet the cognitive and practical requirements of postsecondary or higher education studies in a variety of disciplines.
• IT
  • This course equips the students with the essential computing and IT knowledge and skills required to source, process, and communicate information relevant to their postsecondary or higher education studies across various disciplines.
• Learning Skills
  • This course equips the students with the essential tools and strategies needed to succeed in their academic pursuits.
• English for Dentistry
  • This course equips the students with basic dental terminology and other medical-related topics that are beneficial as they progress into their specialization.
